ABOUT US

There are few things as precious to us as our little ones. Entrusting the care of your children to any one can be a daunting task, so choosing the best childcare option needs to be as simple and stress-free as possible. That is why the founder of Mary’s Little Lamb Learning Center in North Las Vegas felt the need to create a safe, dynamic, and convenient place to welcome the young people of our city while putting their parents’ concerns at ease.
Mary Mitchell established Mary’s Little Lamb Learning Center in April of 2019. The center provides care for children from six weeks to fifteen years of age. Students are divided according to their age groups, and they are provided a diverse range of learning materials to expand their individual academic strengths and assist in any challenges. Phonics, sign language, communications skills, math, science, and more are all taught during the day, and the children are given breakfast, lunch, and two snacks. Parents are welcome to provide additional food choices if they choose to, but it is not required. A varied schedule is followed each day, allowing the children to tackle different subjects and keep them alert and active throughout the time they spend there.
Mitchell recently retired after thirty years of working for the Clark County School District. After having successfully raised four biological and six adopted children, she longed to remain an integral part of rearing, developing, and nurturing young people, which inspired her to open the doors of Mary’s Little Lamb. She works hard to keep the student to teacher ratio small; the center currently services thirteen children total and has two teachers. Mary remains very hands-on in the daily running of the learning center, caring for and teaching the children on a daily basis.

“Each day is a new adventure. We foster a positive environment where our children embrace the adventure to grow, to learn, and to succeed,” Mitchell contends, expressing her passion for teaching with a wide smile.
One of the most attractive features of the Mary’s Little Lamb Learning Center is the convenience that it provides the parents who utilize their services. The center is open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week! Prices vary for overnight and holiday care, but any parent who has ever been stuck trying to figure out how they will be able to work longer hours or who will watch their children during school breaks and holidays knows that this option is priceless.
The teachers at the learning center proudly boast over ten years of experience working with children academically. They are certified in Early Childhood and are able to provide accredited home schooling and tutoring services. The disciplining strategy is redirection, which has proven successful with students of all ages, including those on the autistic spectrum and those who may have other learning disabilities. Each child is individually assessed at the time of registration, which gives the teachers a unique chance to pinpoint exactly where they can be of the best influence. Working hand-in-hand with parents and the school system, Mary’s Little Lamb Learning Center is the key to better learning and comprehension that the children need in this fast-paced world.
